Ms. Norris

Ms. Norris

Subjects: AP Computer Science Principles, Senior Capstone

Ms. Norris has served as the director of the Center for Information Technology since 2009. She has a degree from Virginia Wesleyan College and an education certificate from Mary Baldwin University. She is the proud mother of two sons and grandmother of three granddaughters and one grandson. She also loves technology, reading, crocheting and sewing.

Dr. Palen

Dr. Palen

Subjects: Mathematical Structures with Discrete Topics, Calculus BC, Calculus III

Dr. Palen has a doctorate from the University of Michigan in algebraic number theory and enjoys teaching students from different levels and backgrounds. Some of his personal interests include philosophy, classical studies and statistics. While he has lived and taught around the world, he holds CIT students as nicest overall.

Mr. Caudle

Mr. Caudle

Subjects: Honors Enterprise Architecture, Honors Application Development, Senior Capstone

Mr. Caudle has taught at the Center for Information Technology since 2018. In his previous careers, he worked in operations and process management, management and IT consulting, software development and engineering, computer network administration and retail computing. His interests include soccer, biking, water and snow sports, geocaching, all things technology-related and old British cars (e.g., MGA, MGB). Mr. Caudle loves working with curious students and enabling them to explore their technology interests.

Ms. Jantrania

Ms. Jantrania

Subjects: AP Pre-Calculus, AP Computer Science A, Honors Application Development

Ms. Jantrania attended the University of Virginia and studied math and computer science. She's been teaching at Deep Run since 2018. (Fun fact: Her favorite food is pecan pie.)

Mrs. Tambellini

Mrs. Tambellini

Subjects: Honors English 10

Ms. Tambellini graduated from Western University with a degree in journalism. She’s been teaching since 2005 and has began teaching at Deep Run in 2019. She enjoys reading and spending time with her family and dog, and participates in the Monument 10K and Tacky Lights Run each year.

Mrs. Leath

Mrs. Leath

Subjects: Algebra 2

Ms. Leath attended the University of Pittsburgh where she received a BS in mathematics.  Upon graduation, she joined Teach for America and moved to Baltimore to begin her teaching career.  During her first two years teaching in Baltimore, she received her Master of Arts in teaching from Johns Hopkins University.  From there she moved to Fairfax County in 2013 and then to Richmond in 2016.  Ms. Leath has been teaching for 16 years.  In her free time, she loves spending time outdoors playing with her two kids and her dogs!
